Daily flights are held throughout the year from Athens. The flight lasts 1 hour. The airport at Kefalonia is only 9 klms away from Argostoli. The transportation from and to the airport is held with Olympic Airways busses or taxis.

By Bus and Ferry

Athens-Kylini (by bus), Kylini-Poros or Argostoli or Lixouri or Sami (by Ferry) There is daily KTEL service (leaving from the station of Suburban buses, 100 Kifissou str., Athens) to the port of Kylini, situated on the northwestern coast of the Peloponnese. The distance between Athens and Kylini is 286 km and the trip lasts 4.5 hours.
There is service from Kylini, all year round, to:
Poros - Kefalonia: Distance: 22 n.m. Duration of trip: 1.5 hours.
Argostoli: Distance: 44 n.m. Duration of trip: 3 hours 15 min.
Lixouri: Distance: 37 n.m. Duration of trip: 2 hours 45 min.
Sami: Duration of trip: 3.5 hours.

Athens Astakos (by bus). Astakos - Agia Evfimia ( by F/B)
There are buses leaving from Athens to Astakos, Aetoloakarnania, every day. The distance is 297 km (5h 30΄).
From Astakos there are bus to Agia Evfimia, all year round. The distance is 28 n.m. and the trip lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes.

By Train & ferry-boat

There is daily railway service connecting Athens to Kavassila in the prefecture of Helia (16 km from Kylini). From there, a local train (only in the summer or taxi transfers the passengers wishing to continue their trip, to the port of Kylini, and from there to Kefalonia (the trip from Athens to Kylini lasts 6.5h). From the port of Kylini, ferryboats transfer travelers to the island of Kefalonia.
