FISKARDO
Fiskardo is believed
to be on of the most picturesque locations in Greece. The traditional small
houses, the seaside stores, the luxurious yachts that arrive here from all over
the world and generally some lonely beaches that are only accessible by boat
make this location to stand out and have its own ideal personality (Fiskardo was
not touched by the large earthquake of 1953)
MYRTOS
Myrtos is based on international
critics, one of the most beautiful beaches of the world. The intense colors, the
pebbles and its crystal clear waters, make its visitors never wanting to leave
this location.
ARGOSTOLI
Argostoli is the capital of the island. It is a place were
traditions and customs of the whole island meet. Here you will find all kinds of
stores and banks. It has two beautiful beaches, Makri and Plati Gialos which are
located only 3 klms away at Lasi. When visiting Argostoli you will see the old
and graphical bridge which was built during the English reign in 1813 by the
Swiss commander at the time Philip de Mause. It crosses the sea of Koutavos and
connects Argostoli this beach across.
You will also see the beacon of Agious Theodorous, which is a dual beacon of
Doric rhythm that looks over the village of Lixouri and Katavothres. Katavothres
is one of the weird geological phenomenons of Kefallonia. Large amounts of water
enter the natural chanel next to the sea and reappear after 14 days at the lake
cave of Melissani.
